School closures

Notes : Due to an amber extreme heat warning and challenging internal building temperatures, we are offering an optional early collection once children have had lunch from 1:30pm today (24.06.2026), and for the next two days (25.06.2026 and 26.06.2026). Provision will be made for pupils who are not collected, to remain in school until the end of the school day. The school remains fully open with the after-school club running until the usual times for all remaining pupils.

Notes : Dixons Kings will be partially closed from 1pm for students on Thursday 25 and Friday 26 June due to extreme heat and severe weather warnings. The School will reopen as usual on Monday 29 June.

Notes : Due to extreme temperatures, school will close for pupils in Y1-Y6 following their lunch. Provision will be made for pupils who are not collected, to remain in school until the end of the school day.
This arrangement is in place from Wednesday 24th June to Friday 26th June. School will remain open for children in YR.

Notes : Early Collection Option (Thursday & Friday) Due to the amber weather warning and the challenging temperatures within our building, we are offering parents the option to collect children early at 1:30pm on Thursday and Friday this week.
Please note that year 6 will need to stay until 3.15pm on Thursday as they have a History workshop all day ( this will take part in cooler rooms). If you wish to collect your child at 1:30pm, please do so from the usual collection doors. If your child is in Year 6 and normally walks home independently, please send a Dojo message to your child?s class teacher to give permission for them to leave at 1:30pm. Without this, they will not be allowed to leave early. If you are unable or prefer not to collect early, children will be cared for in the cooler areas of the building until the normal finish time of 3:15pm. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this period of hot weather.

If you would like to collect your child early, please come to the main office from 1:30pm onwards. School will remain open as normal for all other children including clubs and 5 o'clock club.
